2.Introduction to

Methyl pepperyl epoxide ethyl propionate is white solid at room temperature and pressure. With the epoxy unit in its structure, the compound can react with a series of nucleophilic reagents to prepare the corresponding methyl pepperyl derivatives.

3.use

Methyl pepperyl epoxide ethyl propionate can be used as organic synthesis intermediate and pharmaceutical intermediate, mainly used in laboratory research and development process and pharmaceutical chemical production process.

In a dry reaction flask, the styrene precursor compound (2mmol) of methyl pepper ethyl epopropionate was dissolved in methylene chloride (20mL), and the resulting reaction solution was cooled to 0℃. Slowly m-chloroperoxybenzoic acid (863mg,5mmol) was added to the mixture. The resulting Chemicalbook mixture was stirred at room temperature for 15 h. After the reaction, the mixture was extracted three times with dichloromethane, and all organic layers were combined. Then the organic layer was washed with 5%NaHCO3 solution and brine successively, and the organic layer was dried with anhydrous sodium sulfate, and the desiccant was removed by filtration. The filtrate obtained was concentrated under vacuum to obtain the target product molecules.
